FAQs

Shipping

  • Our supplement bars are temperature sensitive, so we have to ship them by express post, with appropriate measures taken to protect the products from temperature extremes associated with shipping. However, due to increased shipping times and temperatures during Spring – Autumn, we are currently unable to ship our supplement bars outside of Western Australia. However, this does not mean that you miss out! Simply order our Equine Digestion Pouches or Equine Digestion Pouches Plus. If you do wish to order one of our other types of bars (e.g. calming, pre-work, metabolism, recovery) and are outside Western Australia, you can still place your order, but will receive either a dried bar or pouch of dried active ingredients.
  • Our supplement bars will only be posted on Mondays to avoid long periods held in transit over the weekends. Once we receive your order, you will receive notification of receipt and an expected shipping date. Please note that although are products are posted by express post this can take up to 3 days outside the Perth metro area and up to 5 days interstate.
  • If you live within Western Australia, you can arrange pick up from Barragup (near Mandurah) or Malaga – please contact us if you would like to collect your products in person.

Product storage

  • Our supplement bars are vacuum sealed to preserve the integrity of the products. However, they do need to be kept cool so please follow instructions for each product, store in the freezer and defrost as required. The products can be stored in the freezer for up to 6 months.
  •
  • Store the powdered products in the sealed bag in a cool, dry place.

Product Use

  • Some horses immediately fall in love with our supplement bars and will devour them straight out of your hand as you can see here. Other horses are more fussy/suspicious and need a little more persuasion.
  • Do not be disheartened if you horse initially turns their nose up at the bars, most can be persuaded to eat them with a little time and patience. If your horse is not keen, break up a small amount of the bar and mix into their favourite feed, you can use a little molasses or something else that they like to hide the taste. You can then gradually increase the amount of the bar included in feed until they are receiving the required amount.
  • If the horse will not touch their feed, even with just a small amount of the bar included (this is unusual but can happen very occasionally) you can add hot water to the bar, and mix to make a slurry, and then syringe the mixture down their throat.
  • You will typically find that even the most reluctant horse will come around once they become acclimatized to the taste, and feel the benefits of the product to their health and well-being.
